The Seizure exhibition in south london. Beautiful to behold, it is interesting to see how the work has degraded over the years, due to weathering and people taking crystals to remember it by. Tho it seems a shame in some ways that crystals no longer adorn every surface with in the apartment, his degradation gives the exhibition an interesting feel in the differing tones and textures that now adorn the apartment.
Work currently on show in Trafalgar Sq called Ghost Forest. A series on giant old rainforest tree stumps and root systems of naturally fallen trees from a rain forest in Ghana, highlighting the efforts going on to stop illegal logging in the area. They are truly massive and at night (after dark) a lazer beam shows the respective heights of the trees against Nelson’s Column.
After this visit to London they on to Copenhagen and the climate change conference.
