Flash Research

Have been looking at how various other people have used flash and webcams to create interesting and different look pieces of work.  here are two examples;

The first website listed is a ‘basic’ motion tracking code, which pics up any movement and instantly displays and places a mask over it, which shows these changes and their intensity in a separate box (which is simply created by having two video boxes placed in the window.

The second in more advanced, it tracks and displays the movement directly, with out showing the original video.  However what makes it more advanced is the way in which it tracks, creating an image and memorising what has come before, to create seemingly ‘random’ and unique outcomes, this was used for an exhibition piece, tracking and displaying the movement of the people walking round and viewing the exhibition, making them a part of it.
